L'oeuvre principale sera la sonate pour violoncelle et piano de S. Rachmaninov. Le compositeur passa les dernières années de sa vie dans sa villa près de Lucerne, et cette sonate représente aujourd'hui une oeuvre majeure du répertoire tant pour le violoncelle que pour le piano.
Award-winning Lithuanian pianist Kristina Annamukhamedova performs as a solo and chamber musician across Europe and the United States. She is a prizewinner of numerous competitions, notably the International F. Chopin Competition in Budapest and Vilnius and the International “Virtuoso Per Musica Di Piano Forte” Competition in the Czech Republic.
Kristina has appeared as soloist with the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, and St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and collaborates as a chamber artist with members of the New York City Ballet and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
She earned the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in performance and pedagogy from the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki.
Dmitry Shameev, born in Moscow, is an internationally renowned cellist. He began playing the cello at the age of five and studied at the Gnessin Special School of Music in Moscow, then at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the direction of N.N. Shakhovskaya, graduating with a Master of Music degree in 2007.
A member of the Russian National Orchestra from 2005 to 2009, Dmitry has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Wiener Konzerthaus. He has participated in renowned festivals and attended masterclasses with legends like Mstislav Rostropovich.
He currently lives in Geneva, where he continues his musical career.
